Our 911 Address Request Form has a spot where you can enter GPS coordinates (Latitude and Longitude) for the location of your request. How do you find these coordinates? There are a couple ways. The best method is to use a handheld GPS receiver, like a Garmin or a Magellan, with an accurate fix on your location. There are apps that you can install on your smartphone which use the built-in GPS chip to tell you your coordinates.

However, both of those methods require you to be standing on that spot. What if you can’t get to that spot right away? You can use Google Maps. Read through the images below to learn how.
